Hey Folks!

So I’ve decided to change some things up and renew my commitment to working on this site.   If you’ve been here before, you’ve probably noticed a few things have changed.

Why the name (change)?

I think it just made more sense to what I was trying to accomplish.  The name Radical Styles was developed from a few different places.  It’s about incorporating radical thought into mainstream society, but hopefully not just as buzzwords like diversity, multiculturalism, and to an extent social justice.   has become.   The word radical is not necessarily about “being out there” or “ridiculous.”  These words are just used to distract us from a more meaningful conversation.  Being radical is about undoing power and getting to the root causes of systemic oppression.  It is about shifting the status quo and changing the way world works in order to be more equitable.  It goes beyond the individual.  And it is about living it, everyday.  It’s about infusing radical thought into our (life)styles.  I hope to create more opportunities that will bring radical thought from the margins to the center of conversation.
